A native of Vietnam, Chan Luu came to the U.S. to study at Boston University for a business degree. But fate had other things stored for her. Following her dream of being a fashion designer, she moved to Los Angeles where she enrolled at FiDM wherein she received a degree in Fashion Design. Armed with a business degree and intimate knowledge of fashion, Chan Luu opened her first boutique in Rolling Hills Estates in 1982 carrying European designer clothing and accessories for women. Though the business was literally a success both personally and financially, Chan Luu's heart is in designing so in 1996 she produced her first jewelry collection. And in 2004, the label expanded to woman's ready-to-wear. Today her line has become a household name,
